Meet Alexander!

Strength From the Very Start

Alexander is a sweet, resilient boy who has been showing the world just how strong he is since day one! Born at 39 weeks, Alexander had a bit of a rocky start and spent his first six and a half months in the hospital. His early days came with plenty of challenges, including trouble breathing, keeping his blood sugar steady, and gaining weight.

Alexander has always been a determined guy. For more than two years, he received his nutrition through a central line while his doctors worked to figure out exactly what his body needed. In 2021, his family finally received answers when he was diagnosed with DEEAF syndrome, a rare genetic condition that helped explain some of the challenges he had been experiencing. 

Today, Alexander continues to take things one milestone at a time. He works hard on growing, developing, and discovering the world around him. With his loving family cheering him on and an incredible team of doctors and specialists by his side, Alexander keeps moving forward at his own pace!
