Meet Cole!
A Determined Teen Who Keeps Moving Forward
Cole is a determined and joyful teenager who continues to inspire everyone around him with his strength and perseverance. Born at 36 weeks, he spent time in the NICU, and after doctors noticed he was not meeting developmental milestones, further testing led to a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
Cole has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, focal seizures, vision impairments, and respiratory and gastrointestinal challenges. He also lives with strabismus, nystagmus, and severe astigmatism that affect his vision. While these challenges impact his mobility and daily life, Cole continues to work hard and make progress with the support of his family and care team.
He participates in ongoing physical, occupational, and speech therapy, all of which help him develop greater independence. He uses a power wheelchair and a specially equipped vehicle to help him participate in everyday activities.
Cole’s journey has not always been easy, but he continues to show incredible determination. His family celebrates every milestone, big or small, and is committed to helping him experience as much of the world as possible!
