Meet Eva!

Strength Through Every Challenge

Meet Eva or, as her family lovingly calls her, “Monkey,” “Mush,” or “Magoo”! As a tween she lives in her Boca Raton home with her mom, dad, and two sisters, who would all agree that her smile, dimples, gorgeous eyebrows, and infectious laugh make her impossible to resist. With her signature scrunched nose and tilted head, Eva has had a special way of capturing hearts since the day she was born.

Eva has yet to develop expressive language, but she certainly has no trouble making herself known! Her personality speaks volumes, and her therapists have affectionately crowned her “Eva the Diva” for her incredible sass and resilience. She loves music, the water, long car rides with her family, relaxing in her hammock, adaptive swings, and playing endless games of catch with her sisters. Her room is also a tribute to two longtime favorites: Mickey Mouse and Stitch!

Eva lives with several complex medical conditions, including cortical visual impairment, epilepsy, dysautonomia, and multiple rare genetic disorders. Despite everything she faces, she continues to remind everyone around her that she is so much more than her diagnoses!
