Meet Lucas – A True Champion On and Off the Field
Lucas began volunteering with Bella’s Angels more than a year ago at our Thea’s Night Out events where he has made an impact on not only the children he helps to watch over, but their families as well.
What makes Lucas’s story even more inspiring is his personal journey. He lives with chronic hearing loss, a condition that has required multiple surgeries, including a recent second tympanoplasty to remove a cholesteatoma and reconstruct his eardrum. Through it all, Lucas has shown incredible strength and determination, never letting his medical challenges define or slow him down.
In addition to volunteering when he can, Lucas works a part-time job, maintains strong grades, and shines on the baseball field. His hard work and talent earned him recognition by the local newspapers. As he heads into his senior year of high school, Lucas will train with professional coaches and pursue his dream of playing college baseball.
Lucas embodies the spirit of Bella’s Angels—resilient, selfless, and full of promise. His story is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we lift each other up.
