Leo is a miracle child after surviving a birth that his twin brother Alexander did not.

At birth Leo was 30 weeks premature and just under 3 pounds.  In the first week, Leo fought through two life flights and multiple hospitals transfers, finally landing in Miami at the Children’s hospital for the next 100 days.  In those 100 days Leo was a true fighter and survivor having three surgeries; two of them brain surgeries, and placement of a shunt due to hydrocephalus.

Today, Leo is nine years old, has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, and is immunocompromised. He does not walk and uses a wheelchair but enjoys walking in his gate trainer, Leo does not speak but utilizes an eye gaze communication device. Leo’s care is all encompassing and includes daily therapies; physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, and Hippotherapy,   Also, routine visits to multiple specialists; Neuro, Orthopedic, Gastrointestinal, and Pulmonary

Leo has a bigger than life disposition and a smile to go along with it. Extremely social and happy being with people. If there's an event around town Leo can probably be found!

He’s crazy for his miracle league baseball, hanging out on the beach and loves music!
